Peanut Butter Dog Treats

We all love to shower our pets with treats, but sometimes we run out. Why not just make your own dog treats?

you already have most of the ingredients in your cabinets right now, I can bet on it. And surely after making these once, I promise you will start keeping cans of pumpkin in your cupboard.

So, just real quick, I wanted to say, this recipe came from my grandma’s stockpile of recipes. Thanks for that grams.

This recipe for dog treats is super simple and easy. Just a little mixing, a tad bit of rolling, include a sweet dog bone cookie cutter, pop them into the oven and voila! Cute peanut butter dog bones.

You’re going to love how much your dog loves these treats. Ok, without further ado, let’s jump right into it.

Ingredient List

  • 1 cup Pumpkin

  • 2 Eggs

  • 1/3 cup Peanut Butter

  • 2 cups flour

  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon

Recipe

Heat your oven to 350° and set aside a baking sheet with a sheet of parchment paper on top.

In a mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin, eggs, and peanut butter thoroughly (I call this the wet mix).

In another bowl, combine flour and cinnamon (I call this the dry mix).

Then slowly stir the dry mix into the wet mix and mix until you have a nice, big ball of dough.

Once combined, take the dough and roll it out on a piece of well floured parchment paper.

Once the dough is flat and even, use your dog bone cookie cutter to make the treats.

After cutting the treats, place them on the parchment paper covered baking sheet.

Bake in the oven for 20-40min depending on how big you make them.

Now you can feed these peanut butter dog treats to your furry animals on board and see how they like them.

Sosa loves these treats and always wants more.

Store them in an air tight container or a zip lock baggie to keep fresh.

These treats are perishable due to having the egg in them, so just make sure your dog(s) eat them up fairly quickly.

Hope your furry friends love these easy to make treats. Please let me know in the comments below what they think. Have a great, peanut buttery day!

Peace & Love,
